Rigid Carbon Fiber Grid Product Description:

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Grids (CFRG) are a type of high-performance composite grid formed using patented technology. Continuous bidirectional carbon fibers are fully impregnated with resin and cured, resulting in this rigid grid structure. CFRG boasts significant advantages such as being lightweight, high-strength, and possessing excellent corrosion resistance, demonstrating unique application value in the field of civil engineering.

The joints of CFRG are meticulously crafted using a special bidirectional interlocking process. Compared to similar FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) bars, this process significantly reduces the required lap splice and anchorage lengths. This not only saves material but also simplifies construction procedures. When used in conjunction with specifically developed anchorage systems, CFRG achieves excellent composite action with cementitious materials. This synergy fully unlocks the ultra-high performance of the carbon fibers, substantially enhancing the load-bearing capacity of structures. Traditional flexible grids cannot achieve this effect.

As a novel structural material in civil engineering, CFRG is not only suitable for strengthening and retrofitting existing concrete and masonry structures, significantly improving the safety and durability of existing buildings, but can also serve as reinforcement material in new concrete structures. It provides reliable assurance for the high-quality construction of modern buildings and is one of the important materials driving technological innovation and development in civil engineering.

Advantages of Rigid Carbon Fiber Grid Products:

Excellent Durability

Particularly suitable for marine engineering and specialized anti-corrosion environments.

Superior Fire Resistance

Compared to externally bonded FRP laminates, CFRG technology for strengthening concrete structures involves CFRG being encapsulated within cementitious materials. This prevents direct exposure to high temperatures, significantly improving fire resistance.

Easy Conformation to Natural Shapes

Especially suitable for curved sections such as tunnels and domes.

High Construction Efficiency

CFRG is lightweight (approximately one-tenth the weight of equivalent steel reinforcement), easy to cut and handle, and offers excellent constructability. Its bidirectional preformed structure further significantly improves construction efficiency.

Outstanding Anchorage Performance

The interlocking constraint between the transverse and longitudinal ribs of the bidirectional CFRG grid drastically reduces the required anchorage length. End anchorage in concrete can be achieved in as little as three grid spacing units. Its anchorage performance is significantly superior to various bar reinforcements, ensuring more reliable load transfer while substantially saving material.

Excellent Composite Action with Concrete

The mutual interlocking constraint between the transverse and longitudinal ribs provides excellent bond performance with concrete, whether used in new construction or strengthening applications. This eliminates slippage and guarantees effective composite action.

Reliable Joint Connection

CFRG is produced using internationally advanced patented technology to create a bidirectional grid material. Its joints undergo rigorous testing and inspection, ensuring reliable connection performance.

Easy-to-Ensure Interface Performance

When strengthening concrete structures with CFRG, surface leveling of the strengthened member is not required. A rough surface actually enhances the connection with the strengthening layer. The use of professionally designed and manufactured anchorage systems ensures composite action between the old and new concrete and the fiber grid.

Non-Magnetic Properties

Suitable for projects requiring non-magnetic materials.
